the first part of the ruling makes sense to me = When a model is placed due to teleport effect like a stone, it does not trigger dark sentinel,.

I thought one way around dark Sentinel was to 'forfeit' movement, but that ruling doesn't make that appear to be true. Even when you forfeit movement due to a place effect it appears to trigger dark sentintel.

Yup, Forfeiting movement doesn't help with Dark Sentinel, but it will help against Watcher and other "when an enemy models advances and ends its movement..." abilities.

Wow, getting around shifting stones is a big improvement for dark sentinel (not that it wasn't good already). I have a feeling I would get ruled against in an actual tournament fairly frequently though.

Flip side s Dark Sentinel does not trigger off of out-of-activation movements or in-activation but out of movement phase movements like Energizer. Moving has nothing to do with it, only ending your movement phase does.

True but that was always the case. Things like admonition don't get around shifting stones and still don't work on out of activation movement like energizer etc.

You're wrong. Admonision totally works off of energizer, or any other advance, for that matter.

Admonition:
When and enemy model advances and ends its movement within 6" of target model in this model's battlegroup...

Ok, so this works on energizer etc. just not shifting stones. I had thought admonition had the term normal movement as well but it just says advances. interesting minor variation on activation timing. It doesn't work on things like leap etc. assuming that the end of normal movement was more than 6" away but it does work on most things.
